Poles are struggling to clean up homes and towns badly damaged by flooding that hit the country in late spring. Last weekend was not any different as heavy rains in the Silesia region caused the flooding of homes, hospitals and roads. In light of this natural disaster, the Ministry of Economy is proposing mandatory insurance for those living in areas prone to flooding, a method that has proven successful in many other countries.
