Ceremonies to mark the 30th anniversary of Solidarity becoming the first free trade union in the communist bloc have been overshadowed by controversies over just who will attend.
Grzegorz Schetyna, the new speaker of parliament and a Civic Platform (PO) member, lashed out at the present day incarnation of Solidarity after its Silesian branch refused to invite Donald Tusk and President Bronislaw Komorowski to celebrations in Jastrzebie.
