An unexploded bomb from the Second World War was discovered in Warsaw’s Wola district this week.

The 250 kilo explosive was found by construction workers at a site and police were quickly called in to evacuate local residents while it was deactivated.

Around 85 percent of Warsaw was destroyed during WWII and the Wola district is one of the areas where the most unexploded bombs have since been found. ...
