Eight fire officers were taken to hospital suffering from the effects of heat exhaustion and inhaling toxic fumes.
Fire officers fought a massive blaze at a hospital in the centre of Lublin for nine hours this Monday before bringing it under control. Nobody was hurt in the incident, but 34 patients and 30 staff had to be evacuated from the dermatology department of the hospital on Radziwillowska Street. At the height of the fire, as many as 95 fire officers were involved in the battle to douse the flames.The fire broke out about noon on Monday in the roof of a single-storey clinic which was in the process of being renovated.
