Bank Ochrony Srodowiska is one of the four bans that has been fined
Four Polish banks have been fined a total PLN 4.4 mln by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) for various illegal infringements and failure to disclose information to clients.
Bank Gospodarki Zywnosciowej, Getin Noble Bank, Alior Bank and Bank Ochrony Srodowiska were all fined, with Bank Gospodarki Zywnosciowej having to pay the highest penalty totalling nearly PLN 3 mln. According to the consumer protection office, the bank applied in their agreements a provision stating that its statue could change at any time.
The bank didn’t state in what situation it may change its status.
