WKS Zawisza fans destroyed part of their new stadium
A massive operation is underway to try to identify enormous numbers of Bydgoszcz’s Zawisza football hooligans who seriously injured four police officers while rioting, trying to reach the sector where visiting fans of Widzew Lodz were corralled. In their mindless rampage, the pseudo-fans even demolished part of their own expensive, new stadium.
“Officers were attacked with rocks, sticks, bits of paving, barriers and other objects. The response to these attacks had to be firm. Batons, water cannon, plastic bullets and gas was used,” Monika Chlebicz, press officer for the Kujawsko-Pomorskie police told reporters.
