EURO 2012 preparations slammed

The preparation of roads have been slammed by the report
PL.2012, Poland’s coordinator of the 2012 European Championships, has been fiercely criticised in a report by the Supreme Audit Authority (NIK).
Amongst some of the key concerns highlighted by the inspectors were the upgrading of stadia, construction of motorways and renovation of major airports.
However Sports Minister Adam Giersz has defended the country’s state of preparations, arguing that there is no cause for alarm.
“This report provides an overall positive assessment and is consistent with the assessments and evaluation of UEFA and the Ministry of Sport,” said Giersz.
