The new laws would decriminalise certain drugs
A new draft bill has been submitted which could see the decriminalisation of recreational drugs for personal use.
If passed, the new laws would provide more leeway allowing courts to drop charges against those found in possession of small amounts of drugs and focus more on targeting producers and dealers. At this stage however, actual amounts have not been specified.
The bill has been given the thumbs up by Deputy Head of the National Bureau of Drug Prevention Boguslawa Bukowska, who sees the move as a progressive step in the right direction.
