A total of 28 bodies were found in the grave
A mass grave containing 28 Wehrmacht soldiers has been uncovered in the southern town of Krasow.
As well as the well-preserved bodies, archaeologists discovered dog tags, buttons and even a working compass once used by the Nazi soldiers.
“I could not believe it,” said landowner Mechlinski. “Locals have long talked about there being German soldiers buried here, but it was just a legend.”
The bodies have since been transferred to Poznan’s Cytadela cemetery. ...
