The two gynaecologists face up to five years behind bars
Two gynaecologists from Poznan attended court this week accused of manslaughter over the deaths of a young woman and her two unborn children.
Prof. Krzysztof D. and Dr. Arkadiusz B. have strongly denied the charges, but if found guilty face up to five years in prison.
On November 25 2006, Karolina M., six-months pregnant with twins, was admitted to Slupca District Hospital where it was determined that she had blood circulation problems. After a series of tests, she was transferred to a specialist unit in Poznan the next day.
