Two people were injured and three secondary school children taken to hospital following an accident during an experiment during a Science Festival held in a building belonging to Wroclaw Polytechnic in Legnica this Thursday morning. The accident occurred at about 9.30am when a pyrotechnical experiment went badly wrong, with the test tube exploding in the hands of the professor conducting it.The professor has been taken to hospital where he will require an operation on his hand. “He has a badly damaged finger, some damage to his teeth and severe burns,” commented Slawomir Masojc, spokesperson for Legnica police.
