Jaroslaw Kaczynski has criticized the ongoing deal
Debate continued in Parliament on the Polish-Russian gas deal last week as leader of the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party Jaroslaw Kaczynski said the annex to the agreement is “highly detrimental to the interest of the economic and political state”.
Parliament heard government information about the negotiations on the gas deal, which is a supplement to the agreement to increase gas supplies to Poland by approximately 1.5 billion cubit metres per year and would see it extended to 2037.
During the session, PiS strongly criticized the agreement. Kaczynski said that the gas agreement is also a political act bringing Poland closer to the East rather than the West.
