The landing cost approximately USD 100,000
LOT airlines is calling for a hefty fine to be given to a passenger who forced a plane en route to USA to about turn and return to Poland.The Polish-American man became aggressive with the crew and hit one of the pilots during an argument over whether his son could sit with him in business class or not.
“We had to drop 22 tonnes of fuel in order to land, which cost us around USD 100,000,” said Marta Marczak of LOT.
The man was detained by guards upon landing although no charges have yet been made.
