Police found the man drunk on free vodka

A wedding-crasher from the city of Piotrkow has been arrested after knocking back PLN 1000 worth of food and drink.

Andrzej Smyla, 34, arrived at the party early and convinced staff that he was there to check everything was in order.

However, as he began to work his way through the food and booze, staff became doubtful and called the police who found him drunk, face down in a plate of chicken.

He now faces up to five years behind bars for criminal damage.
