Sebastian Mikosz, CEO of LOT Airlines resigned from his position earlier this week.Speaking about the future of LOT, Mikosz, who had been CEO since May last year, said recently that he had been gearing the airline up for privatisation which, it is believed, will take place in 2011.
Christoph Franz, the new CEO of Lufthansa, told German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung that the company were interested in discussing this matter further with the Polish government when privatisation talks begin.
“This is a change in LOT’s ownership structure which we cannot ignore,” he said.
