Palikot has shifted ranks
Maverick Civic Platform MP Janusz Palikot has walked away from the party saying that he will from a new right-wing political movement.
Mr Palikot, who has long been a controversial member of Civic Platform (PO), caught people off guard, as he had stated previously that he intended to leave PO’s ranks in December.
“I am resigning from Civic Platform membership, along with Parliamentary Club, because it’s not worth my time to explain every day why I should wait until December 6,” said Mr Palikot on his blog.
“Gras (the government spokesman) did not call me, Tusk did not persuade me otherwise, Schetyna did not scare me...,” Palikot continued.
