Ski jumper Adam Małysz offered Polish fans hope over the new year that he is on the road back to the form that took him to a series of gold medals and overall World Cup victory in years past. Małysz was just 1.5 metres off third place in the new year competition at a new ramp in Austria’s famous Garmisch-Partenkirchen resort. He took fifth overall and now stands ninth in the overall World Cup rankings.
