A third-round tie in the Polish Cup is not normally a prospect to get your mouth watering, but Wednesday night’s clash between Cracovia and Lech Poznan had a dramaturgy to match any this season, on and off the pitch. It was billed as a tie in which the losing manager was guaranteed to lose his job, only the predictions were wrong - Cracovia’s manager, Rafal Ulatowski, didn’t even last out the match and was given his marching orders at half-time, with his side already 2-0 down.
