A Radom police spokesman told a press conference that the crooked coiffeurs had taken as much as PLN 100,000 in bribes over the years for bogus work experience courses. The parents of youngsters desperate to get the practical experience necessary to enter hairdresser training courses had paid up to PLN 3,000 to get their children into salons. Once there, many of them never docked a lock, being made instead to sweep floors for no pay.
