Sappers were called in to deal with the find of 17 150-200kg bombs and 9 further 50kg shells.
Workers building Warsaw Okecie’s new underground station discovered 26 bombs this Tuesday morning causing the nearby Marriott Hotel to be evacuated. The bombs were found in a deep pit and were a mixture of training shells and incendiary bombs, which apparently carry less risk of explosion than other types of munitions.
