Workers building Warsaw Okecie’s new underground station discovered 26 bombs this Tuesday morning causing the nearby Marriott Hotel to be evacuated. The bombs were found in a deep pit and were a mixture of training shells and incendiary bombs, which apparently carry less risk of explosion than other types of munitions. Sappers were called in to deal with the find of 17 150-200kg bombs and 9 further 50kg shells.
