The Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) candidate for President of Kielce stunned an audience with a homophobic outburst during an election meeting. Asked if the City should support NGOs connected with minorities in Kielce the SLD candidate Jan Gierada reportedly answered, “It’s disgusting. I’m against gays and lesbians! Even goats don’t do it to other goats, dogs don’t do it to each other!”

“I didn’t mention dogs,” Jan Gierada later told reporters from TVN24. “I don’t have anything against gays. I don’t condemn them, but I don’t support them either,” he added.
