Schindler's bravery helped save over 1,000 Jews
Krakow’s Oskar Schindler Museum has won an award for the ‘Best Overseas Tourism Project’ from the British Guild of Travel Writers.
Attracting over 75,000 tourists since it opened in June this year, the museum, part of Krakow’s Historical Museum, tells the story of Schindler and the 1,000 Jews he helped save from the Nazis.
To bring the experience closer to home, the museum is based in what was formerly the admin section of his famous enamel factory, which came fourth in the competition. ...
