Rare video footage showing Pre-war Warsaw has been uncovered in an old family cellar.
The three-minute film, which shows sunny streets and the Lazienki Park, gives a previously unseen glimpse of life in the Polish capital before it was destroyed by the Nazis.
Whilst researching the history of acting before the WWII, journalist Szymon Spandowski wrote a piece about the film ‘Lady of the Clouds’.
“I described this film and several days later Jadwiga Tokarska contacted me telling me her father, Boguslaw Magiera, had been involved and that she had photographs to prove it,” says Spandowski.
