Body parts of other Smolensk victims may have been buried alongside the remains of Lech and Maria Kaczynski DNA reports claim.
A new military investigation into the plane crash which killed the Polish president, as well as the other 95 on board, has revealed that recovery records made and filed by Russian officials are so “chaotic” that entire bodies may have been constructed from the remains of a number of different people.
The Tupolev Tu-154M was carrying passengers on their way to mark the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre when it crashed. Although thick fog had reduced visibility to around 500 metres, the exact cause of the disaster is still under official investigation.
