Civic Platform MP Janusz Palikot will remain at the helm of his signature project, the parliamentary "Friendly State" commission charged with drastically cutting Poland's extensive bureaucracy, despite having embarrassed his party with blog entries about President Lech Kaczyński. Late last week Palikot published an entry in which he demanded to know whether the president was an alcoholic, saying Kaczyński should explain alleged rumours about his addiction.
