Snow joke for rail passengers

The Polish rail fiasco has caused chaos up and down the country
Stories of train passengers enduring temperatures as low as -10 degrees and carriages full of frost and snow have heaped more pressure on the country’s embattled infrastructure minister.
In a tale more akin to one of transportation to Siberia than modern European rail travel the frozen passengers battled the sub-zero freeze after the heating on the Szczeczin-Przemysl train all but gave up the ghost on December 28.
“I got on at Lowicz,” wrote one traveller to the newspaper Fakt. “We sat in hats and jackets; nobody bothered to check our tickets. Some people even wrapped themselves in blankets. Eventually my friend found one heater that was working so we stood beside that.”
