Poland will not consider joining the euro until 2015 according to the government
With 2011 underway, the government has stated that it will be at least another four years before it would consider joining the euro.
Responding to a question in parliament, Deputy Finance Minister Ludwik Kotecki said: “2015 is the earliest, realistic date for euro zone accession. Although there is no target date for euro zone entry, the Polish government will continue to take all necessary action in order to adopt the euro as soon as possible.”
Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski echoed his deputy’s words, stating that the government would not feel right joining the euro at present.
