Police believe they have found the schoolgirl's killer
A man arrested on suspicion of raping and murdering a 14-year-old schoolgirl has reportedly confessed to killing her.
The 26-year-old man was arrested on January 12, a week after a forester had found the body of Ewelina Skwara hidden in woods 20 kilometres from her home in a village near the central town of Sluzewo.
Unofficial sources quoted in the Polish press said the suspect, who has not been named for legal reasons, owned up to murdering the girl following his arrest. Biological evidence found on Ewelina’s body had, apparently, helped police link the man to the crime.
