Belarus relations hit rock bottom

Times are tense in the Polish Embassy in Minsk
Poland’s relations with Belarus took a nosedive following its decision to impose a travel ban on leading bigwigs from Minsk.
Not mincing its words the Belarusian government condemned the move saying “Poland had chosen a path of confrontation” adding that a “sanction’s mentality exacerbates differences and destroys trust.”
The fighting talk came after Warsaw confirmed that it had prepared a “list of undesirable people” associated with the rule of Aleksander Lukashenko, the Belarusian president who was re-elected this month in elections branded in Poland and in the rest of Europe as having shabby and frayed democratic credentials.
