Tusk: "We have ambitious, but realistic plans"
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has made it clear that his government wishes Poland to be nuclear by 2020.
At a news conference earlier this week, Mr Tusk said the country is ready to begin preparing and learn from its past mistakes.
“We aim to have the first nuclear power plant in Poland by the beginning of 2020. We have ambitious, but realistic plans and are ready to accept all the provisions necessary for the development of a plant of such a grand scale. The failed attempt at Zarnowiec (Poland’s previous attempted nuclear power plant) is no longer an issue for us.”
