Under the new laws guns will be easier to acquire
Concerns have been raised over amendments to the law which will make buying weapons in Poland easier than in the past.
Police have criticized the new laws, recently passed and signed by President Komorowski, stating that obtaining permits which allow a person the right to buy guns such as hand pistols or rifles will now be much simpler.
According to weekly magazine Polityka, authorities will be forced to issue a permit to the applicant if they present a valid reason for owning the weapon, providing they do not constitute a hazard to either themselves or “public order”.
