The 6th Air Assault Brigade is now being investigated
Three members of an army elite parachute unit known as the ‘Red Berets’ were detained by military police for allegedly using military facilities for civilian parachute jumps.
In a blow to the pride of the Polish armed forces the three, a captain, an ensign and a corporal all from the 6th Air Assault Brigade, were rounded up in their barracks while police conducted a search of the premises.
Colonel Dariusz Knapczynski from the military prosecutor’s office in Warsaw remained tight-lipped over the affair, saying only that an investigation “had been initiated” but a source quoted by the newspaper Rzeczpospolita said the soldiers may have been making money on the side by teaching ...
