The hunt is now on for Cardinal Wyszynski's missing ring
A church in Gniezno has found itself in an embarrassing situation after a valuable ring was stolen from a display due to a lack of security.
The item was part of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski exhibition, an event aimed at celebrating the life of the Polish prelate and archbishop of Gniezno between 1948-1981, and is estimated to be worth several thousand zlotys.
But despite being kept in a locked glass cabinet, no security was employed to watch over the expensive exhibits. A large number of keys were also made available, to which, many inside the church had access.
