The family were shocked to find a different body inside

A family in the western town of Legnica were horrified when they arrived at their mother’s funeral to find the woman in the coffin was not who they expected.

The woman - who was a complete stranger - was even wearing the clothes which had been prepared by the family.

An investigation into the whereabouts of the mother’s body is now underway. “Officers are trying to determine who the lady is the coffin is and what has happened to the missing body,” said police spokeswoman Magdalena Krauze. ...
