The Polish national team’s glass may not be overflowing, but it’s definitely more half full than half empty, following a solid 1-0 win over a Norway side currently riding high in the FIFA rankings (Norway are 11th, Poland 71st). A first-half Robert Lewandowski strike was enough to see off the Scandinavians, with Szczesny largely untroubled between the posts. All in all, a remarkable change in the team from a mere six months ago, when they were in the middle of an almighty slump and roundly trounced by a rampant Spain on their way to winning the World Cup.
