Monarchists Pray for Louis XVI

The Krakow Monarchist Association took part in a mass at the Wawel Cathedral to commemorate the beheading of King Louis XVI during the French Revolution, the daily Gazeta Krakowska reported on Jan. 22.
“He wasn’t that great a monarch, but he was a king, and that’s what counts,” association member Piotr Koc told the paper after the mass. “That was the first time that democracy showed its real face.”
