The new Chopin comic is soon to be destroyed
The foreign ministry announced that it would pulp a comic book designed to introduce Chopin and Polish culture to German children after it was revealed that it came riddled with obscene expletives.
Moving quickly, red-faced and angry foreign office ministers said they would destroy the book, which was commissioned by the Polish embassy in Berlin to promote the work of Poland’s most famous composer.
Costing an estimated EUR 30,000 and designed to give Chopin a modern edge, characters in the comic fire-off a string a obscene swear words, including a four-letter reference to female genitalia.
