The British woman was flown out of the country
A British woman stuck in Libya has praised Poland for its help in getting her out of the troubled country.
Oliva Fairless was one of 22 Brits who was able to fly from Tripoli (Libya’s capital and largest city) to Warsaw after intervention by a Polish Ambassador.
“He [the Polish Ambassador] came in person and offered us seats on a Polish plane. He was a star, holding an umbrella and offering people shelter in his car,” said Fairless.
“We’re really disappointed by the [British Foreign Ministry’s] response,” she added. ...
