Celebrations as Lech eliminated their Warsaw rivals
Lech Poznan came from a goal behind after the first-leg to win the second-leg 2-1 and eliminate Polonia Warszawa from the quarter finals of the Polish Cup on the away goals rule this Wednesday. The goals all came in the first half, as Lech went ahead from a penalty and then a Slusarski header within 20 minutes. Polonia equalised after a melee in the goalmouth in the 34th minute, leading to vehement protests from the Lech players over a perceived foul on keeper Kotorowski.
