Polish Extraklasa champions Zagłębie Lubin were relegated this week after a football association commission judged they had bribed their way to promotion to the top flight in the 2003-2004 season.

Polish Extraklasa champions Zagłębie Lubin were relegated this week after a football association commission judged they had bribed their way to promotion to the top flight in the 2003-2004 season. Zagłębie, whose bosses insist they have been framed and are innocent of the charges, also face a PLN 100,000 fine and will start the 2009-2010 season with minus 10 points. They say they will appeal, charging that the commission had produced no concrete evidence showing the club was guilty.
