An action group in Konin have outraged residents by covering one of the town’s main fountains in a giant condom.
The stunt, carried out by a group calling themselves ‘Akcja Konin’, was designed to commemorate former resident Julius Fromm, the creator of the latex sheath.
However the move has not impressed everyone, including town officials. Speaking in an interview with TVP, Vice Mayor Dariusz Wilczewski hit out at the group’s work, stating that their sense of humour “did not necessarily match his own, or indeed the other inhabitants of the town”.
