The spectre of football hooliganism raised its ugly ahead again when sub-machine gun toting anti-terrorist police arrested a Wisla Krakow fan this week.
Notorious hooligan Pawel C., as the man is known owing to reporting restrictions, was picked up police in Krakow on fraud charges relating to a car-hire business.
“I can confirm that this man was arrested by anti-terrorist officers. He was surprised and did not resist arrest,” said Inspector Dariusz Nowak, a spokesman for Malopolska police.
According to prosecutors, he helped provide forged driving licences and identity cards.
