MEP Danuta Huebner says Poland needs to join "as soon as possible"
In order to not get left behind, Poland has to join the euro zone “as soon as possible” former European Commissioner Danuta Huebner said in an interview this week.
Speaking to Polskie Radio, the MEP stated that it was essential for Poland to work towards fulfilling all the requirements necessary in the ‘Stability and Growth pact’ (an agreement between the EU’s 17 member states to facilitate and maintain the stability of the Economic and Monetary Union) with an aim to join the euro in the near future.
