Confusion now surrounds Adam Malysz's retirement
A row has broken out over a special event planned to celebrate Adam Malysz’s retirement in Zakopane. The event, to be called Adam’s Bulls Eye and scheduled for March 26, was to feature fifteen of the world’s top jumpers in a special event where the most accurate jump wins. Competitors draw a set distance and then decide for themselves from which point on the hill to start their jump so as to land as close as possible to the mark.
But the entire event has now been thrown into jeopardy due the excessive demands of the Wielka Krokwa hill on which it is to take place. The Zakopane Sports Centre is demanding PLN 200,000, despite initially agreeing a fee of PLN 18,000. The event organiser ...
