Jaroslaw Kaczynski created a stir and fired up a new controversy when he went on a shopping expedition to buy a few essential groceries from a Warsaw shop.
Accompanied by an excited and sizable crowd of television cameras and photographers, the Law and Justice (PiS) leader squeezed into the small shop in an attempt to demonstrate just how much food prices had gone up under the tenure of arch rival and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
“We didn’t go to Biedronka [a cheap supermarket chain] where the poorest people do their shopping but to a local shop, where many people do their shopping, especially when they are in a hurry,” said the Law and Justice leader.
