Injuries have forced Smuda to play Sebastian Malkowski in goal
Franciszek Smuda faces major defensive problems ahead of the Polish team’s two upcoming matches against Lithuania and Greece. Thanks to a series of mishaps the Polish side will start this Friday evening’s game in Kovno with Sebastian Malkowski in goal – a keeper labelled the worst in the Polish top division by the newspaper Fakt. Even his manager at Korona Kielce, Marcin Sasal, has had enough of the keeper’s gaffes, announcing, “For the next match we’re changing our keeper. Pilarz will start the game in goal.”
