This interesting exhibition at the normally boring National Museum offers an overview of art from Poland’s short period of independence between 1918 and 1939. It focuses both on distinguished pieces of art as well as works that are lesser known, but important for many reasons. They capture the atmosphere of the era perfectly. It’s easy to forget how different Poland felt as a country before 1939 and this is a diverting trip. ...
