Mr Nejman caught the thief after watching cop shows
A cunning pensioner who noticed that his savings were beginning to disappear came up with an ingenious way to help catch the crook.
As a means of keeping his money, 79 year-old Zdzislaw Nejman, from a small village near the south-eastern city of Kielce had been storing it in small envelopes around his home for a number of years. But a few months ago, he became suspicious when he realised that some of the money had gone missing from under his nose.
“I noticed that one of the envelopes was gone. As much as PLN 7,000 had vanished and I began to wonder what could have happened,” he told reporters.
