Foreign investors in Polish property has dropped
A new study has shown that foreign investment in Polish property dropped significantly last year, chiefly as a result of the recent credit crunch.
According to daily Rzeczpospolita, in 2009 the Interior Ministry (which carried out the report) issued 313 permits enabling the sale of 1757 hectares of land.
This amount reduced drastically last year to 262 permits for only 807 hectare (with only 90 hectares for private owners and the rest for companies).
Brits and Austrians were amongst the top foreigners purchasing land, but the leading two nations were Germany and Holland.
