Locals are now wondering when the beast will next strike
Residents in the south-western town of Bielawa are on alert after reports of a crazed ape-like creature attacking passers-by hit the headlines.
According to TVN, an 18-year-old boy was grabbed by the ankles and thrown to the ground by the beast on March 31. Only when he screamed for help, were his two friends were able to free him and stop him from being pulled into the bushes.
The incident has since left an air of fear hanging over the town, with increased police patrols and locals wondering when the animal, thought to be a large chimpanzee, will strike next.
